A long time ago when CNN was brand new my daddy, who was as rock-ribbed a conservative as you could hope to find, watched it and praised it because, as he said, “They just read the news.”
Didn’t stay that way for long.
I love the concept, it sounds great, but the way that they have implemented their product so far, has been incredibly boring, with a lot of news that I find uninteresting as far as subject matter. I have tried to give them a fair evaluation, especially when that prissy Shep Smith is on Fox, but they’re not there yet.
How much of Beck is there on that? He's quite the nutter, isn't he?
of course - let's leave the field to the libs - geeeze
they will cave
try Graham Ledger at 8pm on OAN.
Nice relief from O’reilly. Ledger OAN / Kelly Fox is a great 2 hrs worth of entertaining right leaning news commentary.
I remember when CNN was new and they were like that...strictly news.
There are occasions where I go to CNN instead of Fox, and it is when Fox doesn’t have people on scene for some disaster or similar situation...they just seem to have more assets in the field, especially if something goes down on a weekend. You watch for a few minutes and then “oh no, they’re beginning to COMMENT...”...click.
Totally agree - we are heading full speed into the Brave New World. The Soviet Union was 1984.
Brave New World conditions people to like their status in life, 1984 terrorizes people to tolerate their lot in life.
Very good! Nothing I haven’t read here on multiple occasions. But I’m impressed.
We have started watching OAN on occasion. The news is reported straight up and does get a little boring at times. We watch the commentary shows in the evening and it seems much more thoughtful than Fox. As well, they don’t seem to feel the need to always have some shrill lib trying to yell the conservative down. I can’t watch (or listen on the radio) to Hannity anymore because I’m sick and tired of having to endure the mass stupidity of the liberals he brings on to counterpoint and argue. It gets tiresome.
Did you watch that when it was new? Back then, it was free! Not any more...
I like what I see on that channel. The woman are beautiful and the Ledger show are fabulous. I watch that quite a bit lately and have told my buddies about them.
I get Fox, CNN. MSNBC, etc via satellite radio. Fox seems to lead the pack for having three or four people all talking at once.
No, Fox has done that for them.
just finding credible news is really difficult," Herring told National Journal. "The fundamental difference between us, MSNBC, CNN and Fox is we are dedicated to [being] a credible source of news."Trouble is, OSullivan was right.
O'Sullivan's First Law:All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing. I cite as supporting evidence the ACLU, the Ford Foundation, and the Episcopal Church. The reason is, of course, that people who staff such bodies tend to be the sort who don't like private profit, business, making money, the current organization of society, and, by extension, the Western world. At which point Michels's Iron Law of Oligarchy takes over and the rest follows.
And Air America will take out Rush Limbaugh
Terence Trent Darby?
No. Was a white guy. Singing reminded me of Wayne Newton, but not quite.
