Tebow is interesting in that he is uniformly rejected by the Professional football teams. One has to think that people who select players for “Pro” teams believe he lacks what it takes.
Maybe so. But as puny as was his career, it compares favorable to Sam's.
Easy to deal with for somebody that knows how to do it. Set up an online statement for those whom believe he should deserve another chance stating those that sign it will no longer watch ANY NFL football.
Probably get a hundred thousand fans. The NFL does not need to lose that many fans. They are losing fans too fast as it is.
He is a Christian and Christians aren’t popular with teams full of thugs
Or, one can think for themselves and figure out he was blackballed by the league.
what ‘it takes’ is someone the political left will approve
an unabashed Christian is definitely not in-line with the political left... regardless of the fact that he wins games.
meanwhile, if you can find a black player willing to pitch & catch as well as play football... then that’s endorsed by the left wholeheartedly
Regardless of talent level or potential, i just don’t believe any GM or coach wants the burden that comes with signing Tebow. He’s a headache for the coach as the movement starts on day one to let him play. Also jobs are on the line if it doesn’t work...which is the likely outcome.
He probably should have a place as a backup or 3rd string. The situation doesn’t allow it. When we went to camp with the patriots I thought that might be just what he needed. No fan of NE, but Belichek knows football and coaching. That he got cut unceremoniously and never resigned anywhere tells me Bill didn’t see much potential and probably relayed that quietly to anyone who asked.
