Zactlky. Julius was entraalizing all control of the empire in Rome and Rome ended up as a very large Imperial Empire.

Julius was not a good guy.

Rome was a republic, then Julius Caesar usurped power. No one rose a finger to stop him. (well, they DID assassinate him), but his nephew Agustus stepped into the breach, cementing the role of emperor. For the next century, many Romans longed for a return to the Republic. History doesn't repeat, but it rhymes.

P.S. the role of Augustus tonight will be played by Hillary Rodham.
