I have read the koran. It is not a book of peace. It does not describe a peaceful religion. It is a religion of conquest and slavery.
It's real simple....you judge a tree by the fruit it bears. A simple study of Islam will show it is not a religion of peace, unless you're muslim. I'm sorry your pope has this totally wrong.....but your catechism does say ya'll worship the same God. Got that one wrong also.
Sura 9:5 And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
I read most of the Koran and I can guarantee you than no one in their right mind who actually read it would describe it as “peaceful.” The Pope is either stupid or lying (evil).
