Also, English is the official language in Ghana, so there are prime opportunities for teachers.

I'm tempted to mention Ebonics, but the issue is so obvious that there's no need to say a thing.

I’m willing to do a kickstarter for one way air fair, provided we collect their passports ...

It’s funny, I once worked with an AA lady who was married to a prince in one of the tribes in Ghana. He was something like third in line for the succession, so if his dad and oldest brother ever died, they would have to move back to Ghana (she was from here, he was obviously from there) and live there while he ruled the tribe.

a “right of abode” in Ghana to any person of African descent from the Diaspora. This includes the right to enter the country without a visa, to remain indefinitely and to work there without the usual work permit.

Imagine the outcry if similar privileges were granted for people of Euro ancestry.

The Ghanaian government has offered an official apology for Ghana’s role in the transatlantic slave trade and there is reportedly free land set aside for individuals from the Diaspora.

Very interesting.

Well as countries in Africa go this isn’t that bad a destination for blacks raised in America. They have a stable government, a prosperous economy, natural resources, and a far higher standard of living compared to most of their neighbors.

It would be interesting if there were a country in Africa that would be an alternative to the USA for those with real ambition. The problem is that it would leave the deadweight behind in the USA’s ghettos. Another issue is the stability of African countries - they don’t exactly have a record of consistency. (Of course, the USA is no longer a shining example of equal opportunity and personal liberty.)
