IMHO the best Spock was in Mirror, Mirror.
Leonard Nimoy with a goatee and mustache looked entirely natural. And, that Spock character, seemed entirely natural. All of the others seemed artificial and too much directly out of “The Age of Aquarius”.
It’s always about this moron. Me, me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me,me, me. It’s a wonder there’s any room in his thick skull with this ego maniac.
Yes, this article mostly points out what an amoral, often severely destructive but "logical" person Spock was AFTER TOS.
In Mirror, Mirror, we get a glimpse of just how cleanly Spock fits into an alternate, evil universe.
He has no problem with using an "agonizer" on Mr. Kyle, and comments on how torture is "most effective" on Chekhov.
Plus he has no qualms about wiping out the entire planet below.
Seeing that (and reading this piece) made me re-think my love for the character.
Well done.
