Bullet-proof Burkas?

Keystones and Muzzholes would approve!

I read a post from someone on FR years ago saying that they hat a Kevlar baseball cap that they got as a marketing promo gift at some chemical industry trade show and how if TSHFT that's what they'd be wearing.

I replied that if they took a round to the head from anything more than a .25 ACP, that Kevlar fabric and the bullet are both going to be inside their head just like pushing a napkin through a keyhole with a knitting needle.

More than a concussion. You’d likely have a depressed skull fracture or worse, a chunk of skull spalling off the inside and into your brain. One of the key features of current military helmets is the suspension system that absorbs and distributes the received energy over a wider area to prevent exactly this from happening.

And yes, a ball cap doesn’t provide protection from the likely angles of attack.

It’s a start; and don’t they say that we use only about 10% of our brain. (Hope it’s the same 10% that’s covered.)

Okay, it’s not supposed to make sense, if that’s any help.

Another way to prove that you’re a dummie, “bullet round”.

True. The end result may be more blasts to the face instead of the forehead.

Might be bulletproof, but the energy from the bullet will still kill the wearer. I knew a guy who is working on combat helmets for the same purpose in a project for the Army. Its easy to make the helmet bulletproof yet really difficult to not kill the wearer anyway.

My peeve is people making silly posts that would have been avoided by watching the video
