Sure am getting disgusted with NASCAR,

I have followed racing since I was 17. Am now 75.

The KNOCK-OUT Qualifying was a disaster. To9 watch owners lose millions of dollars in good cars because ‘we want to make it more exciting for the spectators” just isn’t justified. From what I could see in the stands during this qualifying—there wasn’t 300 people in those stands.

Risking the cars & the drivers in this manner is just plain NUTS. Tony Stewart & the others are correct.....this just isn’t needed.

NASCAR keeps putting events on PAY TV. I enjoy seeing the new younger crop of drivers as they make their way to the top of the pyramid. Cannot do that now.

So many of us who have been faithful followers of racing cannot afford PAY TV on our small Soc Sec earnings. So- NASCAR doesn’t seem to care a whit about all of us.

I agree with you. Brian France is only out for the big bucks from the networks bidding wars to carry the races which means more commercials and less racing for us…

PS I’m 81 and saw Billy Vulkovich race midgets art Fresno’s Kearney Bowl in 1948 about the same time drag racing came along

I remember going to Friday night races at the old Fairgrounds 5/8 mile track in Birmingham back in the 60s. Guys like Bobby and Donnie Allison, Fireball Roberts, Red Farmer, Ned Jarrett, Richard Petty and others roared around that track.

Racin' was still racin' back then. Dang, I must be getting old.
