Gosh I’m tired but it’s get the truck inspected day. Have to take mrs p6 to work then drop the truck off and walk home...in the cold...sigh.

We bought our own modem, and then called comcast and cut the cable on Saturday. We upped our comcast internet service from 25 mbps to 105 mbps. Monthly bill will now be about $80.00 instead of $176.00! We added Sling TV to the Roku!

First “full” day of school in our District I can’t remember when (I should remember, but I’m old and my youngest is 17 and if he can’t remember, what chance do I stand?)
Cute story, grandbaby (2 1/2) got her cast off her arm (she broke it day before they moved out of their apartment and into their house—she climbed on storage bins w/the idea of jumping from bins to toddler bed and missed...big owie, a purple cast, and a bad cold spread by her parents from being in ER at Children’s and catching germies there). So they go back to get the cast off (and possibly a 2nd placed, but she didn’t need it...healing was good) and the doctor tells her “no more jumping...we don’t want to see you back here at the hospital...” And she looks at the dr and his assistant and tears up and says “why? Don’t you like me?”

That is exciting - is that $80 including taxes? That’s what burns me - the taxes are ridiculous.

I read the FR thread, some believe the disclosure will be about Ferguson—me I think it will be IRS related (how many refunds will be super late or nonexistent due to ObamaCare screw ups).
Hi Greg, James O’keefe is the young man who did the Planned Parenthood disclosure (he played a pimp getting birth control for “his” underaged prostitutes). He’s done other stings in that same undercover (w/hidden cameras) way. His most recent, he dresses as OsamaBinLaden and crossed into Tx from Mexico. There is a FR thread here about an upcoming disclosure (this week) thst makes O’Keefe “fear for his life.”

I’ll let you know when I get the bill. The comcast rep said that, since we have our own equipment, it would be the cost of the internet and, I think (not sure) she said taxes. We should recoup the cost of the Ooma and the modem in about 7 or 8 months!
While none of us should have ANY trust in Obama’s version of “net neutrality”, you illustrate why it is an important principle in theory.
Left to their own devices Comcast would be perfectly free to scroooo with your download speeds in order to thwart your cord-cutting efforts.
Just got back and into bed. 26 minute walk. Not too bad but dead tired, LOL!
