Did you see super-8? He’s had his time I’m thinking. Some brilliant work but recently? He needs to go sit and chat with George Lucas and find a new hobby.

Did you see Lincoln. Perhaps, I had too high expectations, but I was a bit disappointed for reasons I won't bore you with. However, the movie was gorgeous - perhaps the most beautifully shot movie I have ever seen. It was a dark movie since they did not have electricity back then, but forget grey - this movie had fifty shades of black. Whatever it cost was put to good use. It is worth watching just to see how it was shot.

I read that Spielberg backed out of American Sniper because he couldn't do what he wanted to do with the limited budget. I don't know what he would have done with the movie, but I am happy as it is.
