No school for the kids, three days this week.

Schools closed again in soviet Red Hampshire today because weight of snow on the roof is causing some to collapse...kids will be making up time into early July...LOLOL!

I live on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Our weather here is tempered by the Bay, so even when places like Baltimore — about 12 miles away, as the crow flies— are hammered, we are not.

This morning, however, our porch thermometer said “6”!

In my many years on this earth as a resident of Maryland, I have never personally read a thermometer reading that low! And, I suspect that such a reading in these parts is probably limited to an average of once every 10 years.
