It starts out humble but then goes into a hard rock version of our National Anthem. Some traditionalists may not like it, but is very moving knowing the band is the most Patriotic rock band out there. There version of America at the end of the CD is also good.

Warning: Traditionalist may not care for it, especiall those who don't like rock. Just keep in mind that Madison Rising's songs are patriotic on all 3 of their discs. This is something our yutes could possibly identify with. Not sure I can post it here due to copywright. Just Google.

I had been raving about to my wife and she bought me the CD for Val/Anniverary Day. She loves it, also. I behoove all Patriots to listen to find this wonderfully Patriotic band and listen with an open mind. It is very powerful.

The lead singer hits some untraditional notes that add some interest to the original arrangement, all while keeping the reverance of song. It's not Jimi Hendrix screatching on his guitar which I never cared for.

I will be including it in a slide show like the many years back, With Love and Affection CD/DVD' with all the wonderful street rallies showing their love and support for our Troops facing the invasion of Iraq in 2003. This one will not focus on the war or Troops so much, but will be collage of what is still good in the Shining City on the Hill.

I’m a traditionalist. I generally don’t like variations on the good old patriotic or gospel tunes. I get tired of “artists” mocking these songs with their artsy fartsy renditions.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one. I found it, listened to it, and was pleasantly surprised. It captures the spirit of the song in a fresh and passionate way, while maintaining the dignity and respectfulness. Very nice.
