BOSTON (CBS) Beverly Scott is resigning as MBTA general manager, the transportation agency said Wednesday afternoon.
The MBTA had suspended rail service Monday night and Tuesday to clear snow from its tracks amid a record-setting period of snowfall in the Boston area. Gov. Charlie Baker and others had criticized the MBTA for its lackluster performance during the extreme snow and cold.

Liberals are always about "funding." How about overpaid employees?

Yesterday’s meltdown at her press conference was popcorn time. She was an Obama acolyte and was going to be called on the carpet by the new governor Thursday.

She's going to start a new career haunting houses and scaring small children.

Quite apart from her inability to manage the MBTA, she made a mistake by appearing as her own spokeswoman on many occasions.
Picture a dumb, inarticulate black woman who clearly got where she was because she was a black woman. Picture that person as both spokesperson and manager of a failing government organization run by corrupt unions.
Nope. It just didn't go well.

She is the epitome of a government leech. They were ripping her on the radio this morning, and deservedly so.

I don’t recall her exact words but when she came from Georgia to Massachusetts, she said she was happy coming to a part of the country where the citizens realize the government is here to help.
To: ConservativeStatement
Apparently she picked up on the fact that MA residents have a lot of crazy beliefs.

She is the case in point for EXACTLY what is wrong with government right now.
All rolled into one. She is an arrogant, government-bloated, under qualified, overpaid, non-performing barnacle on the hull of efficient government.

Atlanta’s MARTA getting rid of her was a really good thing. Her replacement, Keith Parker, has been a big improvement.

I once had a manager who was *ahem* a lot like Beverly Scott. My manager was constantly screwing up and saying the wrong thing to the wrong people. Then she'd call a staff meeting, close the door and yell at us -- "If I go down -- I'm taking y'all with me!!"
Did not engender a lot of team spirit or loyalty.

In a bizarre, wild circus of a press conference yesterday, Scott at times paced, banged her hand on the podium and exclaimed
Oh, Lord Jesus! when reminded by a reporter about the Ts $9 billion debt, and referred to herself in the third person.

She is an arrogant, government-bloated, under qualified, overpaid, non-performing barnacle on the hull of efficient government. I thought that was Orrin Hatch.
Or John Boehner.
Or Chuck Schumer.
Or Hillary Clinton
Or Mitch McConnell.
Or ... hmm, lemme see... B. Hussein?
There's just so many choices -- help ana'Merican out, huh?
