This version was issued by King Edward I Longshanks.
Sure, he reissued Magna Carta in exchange for some revenue. But then he set about systematically dismantling the manorial court system in order to force everyone to use the royal courts.

I saw the Magna Carta, up close and personal (within inches of the document) when it was on tour in the USA back in 1986. When I heard it was on display, I definitely wanted to go and see this document of history!

The Oregon Art Institute (1219 Southwest Park Avenue; 503-226-2811; admission $2.50, $1.50 for older people and students) has its home on the blocks as does the Oregon Historical Center (1230 Southwest Park Avenue; 503-222-1741), where one of four known copies of Magna Carta is being displayed through Nov. 4. The special exhibition is open seven days a week from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. with an admission charge of $3, $1 for students and older people. This copy of Magna Carta - from Lincoln Cathedral and bearing King John’s seal affixed June 15, 1215, at Runnymede - is being displayed along with a variety of historic English and American documents, paintings and artifacts.

;’) I’m fairly certain none of mine did, they were too busy working the land or being executed by various “nobility”.

Looks like it sustained some damage from ground fire while Brian Williams was transporting it back to England from Iraq.

It looks like the Town Council spilled their ale on it.

Edward instituted several legal and administrative reforms that helped the development of the royal courts and the common law.
He also made permanent the principle of including commoners in all Parliaments.

That thing is almost in as bad shape as our constitution is after the SCOTUS’ last adventure!
