There is an active criminal investigation underway in Georgia in the Bobbi Kristina case ... it centers on possible foul play and the target is her boyfriend ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... Bobbi Kristina had certain injuries that have piqued their interest. We do not know the nature of the injuries. Multiple sources tell TMZ there is a history of violence between Bobbi Kristina and boyfriend Nick Gordon.
We're told police are looking into a possible altercation more than an hour before Bobbi Kristina was found submerged in a bathtub.
We're told Max Lomas -- the friend who discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub -- arrived at around 9 AM last Saturday. He says he hung out with Nick but did not see Bobbi Kristina. He was told she was in the bedroom. Nick wandered away and Max says he didn't pay attention to his whereabouts.
The cable guy showed sometime after 10 AM and Max says he let him in -- Nick was nowhere to be seen. The cable guy said he needed access to the bedroom so Max let him in and discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub. He screamed for Nick, who ran in and administered CPR.
We're told Max claims Nick allegedly cleaned up the home and removed blood stains.
Cops interviewed both Max and Nick and they want to debrief Max again, but our law enforcement sources say Max's lawyer insisted on immunity before he spoke again. We're told as of Friday morning Max hadn't gotten immunity or talked to cops.
Our sources say Nick Gordon has also lawyered up. We could not reach Nick for comment.
The Brown family is a dumpster fire.

Her father claims she wasn’t really married to Nick.
There is still a lot of money left in the Trust Whitney Houston left. Bobbi had just inherited some of it.
It will be interesting to see who gets Whitney’s money now.
I expect a fight of gigantic proportions. Down and dirty.

I think that Whitney Houston “took Nick Gordon in” (to raise him) about 10 or so years ago when she found out his mother wasn’t raising him. While Whitney considered Nick like a son, she never legally adopted him. So Nick was more of a brother to Bobbi instead of a boyfriend. Whitney left ALL her money to her daughter Bobbi but she apparently wouldn’t have full access to it until she was 30 years old (apparently it was in a trust of some sort).
You’re right, this has all the smell of a murder.
Money is in a trust. It comes out in three installments. Bobbi got the first one at 21.
So that leaves the other two installments to fight over plus the first installment to whomever Bobbi left her money to in her will or lack thereof..will likely go to father under intestate law.
i am going to just say it--i blame all of this on the black community... when Whitney Houston came on the scene, she was lovely, sweet with a beautiful voice... she appealed to the masses... she was a pop star... good for her! but no--the R&B crowd would not have it... they pegged her as a sell out.. not black enough... so what does she do? she hooks up with Bobby Brown--bad boy from New Edition... now, i was a New Edition fan... and i liked Bobby Brown's first solo album... but Whitney Houston could have chosen from so many others who would have been better for her... i think she went for Bobby Brown because she felt the need for "black" cred... it is their fault... there, i said it... i have thought this all along, but i have never heard anyone in the media make this claim...
i’don’t really know about that. i’guess it’could’be a factor, but i generally hold people repsonsible for their own choices.
most people generally marry a spouse that looks like them so that isn’t really surprising she married a black guy.
and it’s hardly a black thing where a woman marries a bad boy and is brought down by him/suffers ill effects from him.
i guess i never picked up on anything that blacks thought she was not black enough and that’s primarily why she married bobbi brown.

Della Reese--a good friend of Sissy Houston said Whitney was hurt by those accusations and wanted badly to change he image... in Della's words, "what better way than to marry a bad boy?"
she was treated like black conservatives are often treated...
I am not going to say it was entirely a Black thing because the same slop has been used on White and Asian entertainers as well.
She was told repeatedly that she lacked "street cred" being from a normal church going family wasn't "edgy".
Of course. He did it near the anniversary of her mother’s death, same means, to make it look like she committed suicide.
