Why should the state take responsibility and pay for it, to boot?!

Soon and very soon the state will take responsibility for this boy.

Not in any mental hospital. But in prison. Assuming he lives long enough.

So what’s the solution?
Should the 12 year old be turned out onto the street. Should the family be able to perform a mercy killing.
Should the mother have to keep the boy at home until he seriously hurts someone or successfully molests his 4 year old sister.

You have any real suggestions?

The state has a responsibility to protect citizens from crime, which is why we pay taxes for police. That the potential criminal and victim are related is not an exception to this responsibility.

Prior to states taking responsibility for the mentally ill and building the big state mental health facilities, families locked the mentally ill in rooms, icehouses, or attics. Neighbors and family killed the mentally ill and they were often executed

State facilities were seen as compassion in helping families by caring for the mentally and severely developmentally delayed. They got three hots and a cot.

because the costs of residential treatment are unreachable for average people. Check it out. Thousands PER DAY and no insurance - or 3 days inpatient is what our insurance offered

giving up custody of a child like this is the only way to get him the help he needs.... or at least keep him off the streets

that is why a lot of fosters never adopt, they can’t afford to take on the medical care
