Poor Mother. She's probably going to lose custody of ALL her children

The country needs to make it easier to lock up for everyone’s good those who are a continuous danger to others because they are crazy.

Trying to get help for a dangerous, psychotic child is terribly difficult. I know a family who faced the same thing with their six-foot-tall, 180-pound schizophrenic sixteen-year-old, who nearly killed his mother and two little sisters. She too was threatened with jail time. It was a nightmare. Even the rich cannot keep a kid locked up indefinitely, and this family was far from rich.

No father? I’d like to hear what the child has lived through. I wonder what would make a 12 year old so bad.

Unfortunately you’re right. We need to pray for her.

Liberals HATE the idea of locking up crazy people against their will. I think they hate it so much because they know that most of them would be locked up if they were evaluated.

Many times it’s sexual abuse. It could be anger from a divorce or a thousand other things of course.

This is a ridiculous situation. The boy is a danger to others, and should be institutionalized.

Why should the state take responsibility and pay for it, to boot?!

100 years ago we had mental institutions where these people could go.

Now we have the streets.

But we’re so much more compassionate these days. (sarc)

Yep. The glaring omission of a father speaks volumes.

But not always. Sometimes a problem child is going to overtax even the best of intact families. And there ain’t nothing anyone can do about that.

Soon and very soon the state will take responsibility for this boy.

Not in any mental hospital. But in prison. Assuming he lives long enough.

I know a kid that was institutionalized for trying to split his mom’s head with an axe at 12. He’s autistic. Saw them grocery shopping yesterday. He’s gotta be 20 or so.

there is no "help he needs".....unless its totally medicated so this boy is nearly catatonic..

its not counseling...its not behavior therapy...its not basketball...its not Vit D....

some are born screwed up mentally and can't be fixed...the best we can do is protect them from themselves and protect society from them..

That’s the one thing I hold against President Reagan, I know the court was about to order them all released anyway, but he could have told the Court to pound Sand. It wasn’t that long ago that the separation of powers was understood. The Court has no way of Enforcing Anything the Executive branch doesn’t want to enforce, this is where Congress can step in and fund or defund the Executive Branch to get what they want. Too Bad they don’t teach history, civics, math, reading... anymore, if they did we would have a revolution overnight.
