She contacted authorities on Jan. 30 around 3:45 p.m. after seeing him stranded in the LA River. The dog was then rescued by firefighters from the riverbed near the Victory Boulevard exit in Burbank.
Lucky, who suffered hypothermia, did not have an implanted microchip or tags. After he was unclaimed by an owner, Dalby was first in line to adopt him Thursday.
