Former rap music mogul Marion Suge Knight, founder of one of the genres leading labels, had his $2 million bail revoked in Los Angeles after his arrest in running down and killing a man.
Los Angeles County sheriffs spokeswoman Nicole Nishida says detectives asked a bail commissioner Monday to keep the Death Row Records founder behind bars because he is a possible flight risk. Authorities also cited Knights history of violent crimes and the possibility he would intimidate witnesses.

Suge Knight doesn’t care.
He’s one of Obama’s buddies, so he’s just waiting for a Presidential Pardon to rescue him.
I would find such a thing utterly unsurprising.
“Death Row Records”.. How prophetic.
It wasn’t so much the flight risk that concerned them. What really had them worried was how many people he’d run over while fleeing.
These are state charges. The POTUS only has the authority to grant pardons to those convicted of *Federal* offenses.Only the Governor of California could pardon him.
Not like Obama can’t whisper in Moonbeam’s ear.
“Hey Jerry, President Obama here. I just thought of a way to get those billions of dollars you need for that high-speed rail project of yours .... you just gotta do one thing for me .....”
This is a state criminal charge, Barry isn’t part of the picture. Moonbeam could pardon him, though.
You cannot pardon someone who has not been convicted of a crime. You can grant them immunity, but that is not going to happen here.
The prospective pardons being discussed are assuming a conviction on the charges, of course.
I mentioned that earlier.
The State has him where they could charge him with capital murder and end up using his HUGE past record and I’m certain that he could easily end up getting convicted. Once the pig is on death row, all a governor has to do is set the date and make sure everything follows through.
