The Boy Scouts of America settled a sex abuse case Thursday involving a 20-year-old California man who was molested by a Scout volunteer in 2007 — a decision that will keep years’ worth of “perversion” files detailing sex abuse allegations secret from the public.
The announcement of the settlement in the Santa Barbara case came after three days of trial. The terms were confidential at the Boy Scouts’ request, said Tim Hale, the plaintiff’s attorney.
“I can’t go into details about the number, but it was a great result,” Hale said.
Hale had won the right to use the “perversion” files as trial evidence to try to show the Boys Scouts were negligent by not properly training, educating and warning parents, Scouts and volunteers about the dangers of sexual abuse.

Well hell now we understand the reasons the homos wanted to take over scouting; they wanted to get in on the action.
Now they are officially allowing 18 yr old homosexuals to take 11 yr old boys camping in the woods and they expect that this will make it better?
Homosexuals never do nothing wrong.
Of course homosexual males want access to adolescent males; that's what homosexuals do.
That's why ethical leaders of the Boy Scouts should never, ever incorporate homosexuals of any stripe into their organization.
Its not over yet. The push is on to allow openly gay scout leaders. Can only get better.
A high school classmate has become a leader in this gays in scouts push. He is the one who invented the ‘rainbow’ medal that some scouts are buying (from his non-profit and not a BSA uniform dealer because its not a real badge) and sewing on to their uniforms.
He was in scouts with me. I had no idea he was gay - but not surprisingly, he was emotionally damaged. He had been adopted, into a very good home, but was still nagged by feelings of inadequacy because his original mother abandoned him. Who knew - gays have strong emotional problems.
Anyway, as a young adult, he tried to sign up as a leader in a troop where he graduated college - nowhere near the troop he grew up in. I can imagine a young, single, guy with no children...who by the way, is openly gay...caused some concern. So he was rejected.
Thus began his crusade. I am Fbook ‘friends’ with him, just so I can track the rhetoric. And this is a perfect glimpse into how a liberal mind works, and how liberal ideas are based on a ratchet affect. Less than five minutes after the decision was announced that gay kids could be scouts, he was on Fbook spouting off about how homophobic the BSA was, and how they should be boycotted. In his eyes, this was a terrible decision...because ‘it didn’t go far enough’ and allow gay scout leaders. You really can’t negotiate with a liberal - they do not bargain. Any concession they may leave on the table is instantaneously converted to fodder to claim their opponents are racist homophobic knuckle draggers. And the cycle never seems to end.
Anyway, he is still very actively pushing for gay leaders...pushing for companies to quit donating to BSA...bullying celebrities into refusing to perform at the Jamboree, etc. I give it two years, before openly gay leaders are allowed.
It is complete stupidity and the Left eagerly sacrifice innocent children to make a political point. And it is all done in the name of fairness and equality.
Obviously, he is irrational. But what does he think about the increased risks of child molestation?
Most rationally thinking people would think that having a male scout master for a Girl Scout troop would be very foolish and risky. How is it different for gay scout masters in the Boys Scouts?
And second, a more important question — what would be his response if it was discovered that a gay scout master had indeed molested some boys? Would he be okay with it? Would he blame himself for forcing this situation on the young boy and the Boy Scouts?
With the new and improved Gay Scouts, it will become impossible for anyone to sue for being molested. Anyone claiming such will be labeled a “homophobe” and prosecuted for “hate speech”.

I suspect many see it as a good time waiting to happen.
She arrived at work one day in the 80s, and she found a guy who did not work there rifling through "the files." He left quickly. They had no idea how he got in. It was after that that they decided to begin locking up their files.
Most gay activist, himself included, are able to cherry pick data from some source or another that shows hetero molestation to be as common as homo molestation...ie a creepy uncle molests a little girl.
And for them, that’s the end of the discussion.
The fallacy of this argument, since there by definition cannot be hetero molestation in an all male organization, is lost on him and his ilk....or they’ll drag up some story about a female cub scout den leader molesting a boy.
Its logical and clear to me - no gay leaders = guarantee of no molestation in Boy Scouts. But when logic fails a liberal, the name calling begins.

The answer is positively NO.
Maybe I’m closed minded, but his saga seems predatory to me on its face. He is single, with no kids...so why does he want to be a scout leader in the first place?
I was very active in scouts growing up, and I understand that some young adults morph into leaders, in the troops they ‘grew up’ in. But this is not what happened to him.
He was a boy scout in Alabama...fast forward to when he’s 31 years old, and he becomes re-involved in scouting in New Hampshire. To me that’s a little odd.
I think I know why. And frankly, its not a whole lot different than why I like walking around on a college campus and seeing all the pretty girls...he wanted to surround himself in some young boy eye candy.
So no, I don’t think he would be too retrospective about a kid being molested. Quite frankly, it happens a few times a year in the Boy Scouts...so it is happening right now...closeted gay leaders are already molesting boys, and it doesn’t seem to bother him one bit - not enough to give him pause in his crusade.
Isn’t this why the Boy Scout passed rules against homosexual membership?
