Be warned: enough typos to be annoying, including the fact that they cannot seem to agree on how the woman's name is spelled.
Also did not see how old the dog is, but Bela looks senior, if not really old.
This is a low-volume list so dont worry!
(Please Freep-mail me if youd like to be on or off the list.)
Well, I guess Bela is with her owner, Connie, now. I have known and heard a lot of dogs get ill and pass away shortly after losing their beloved owner.
I'll let others comment on the spiritual matter of someone who would kill their own dog for that reason and in that way...
Do-gonnit!
Well...dig up mommy and re-plant her and Rover together.
While I’m not old enough to be pondering passing away of natural causes just yet, i have wondered about what to do to provide for my two dogs if I were to die, due to accident or illness. I’d want them to be well-cared for and hopefully loved. Euthanizing them has never entered my mind.
Poor fella. Best Friends is known for accepting hard cases, so bless ‘em for trying to do right by Bela.
Years ago they took in a pit bull that pulled a Lassie on a little kid who’d fallen into a well. Not making this up, LOL, the dog’s body heat kept the child warm & safe. But nobody claimed him when they both were rescued from the well, and then the shelter to which he was taken reported he’d bitten a worker & wanted to put him down. Far as I know, he’s still happy & healthy with the good folks in Utah.
