Pro-choice doctor explains why she doesn’t do abortions

Pro-choice author Lori Freedman quotes Dr. Vivian Costa who, despite being pro-choice, decided not to do abortions in her practice. She explains why:

“It is an end of life, and while I feel the patient should have an option, I didn’t feel comfortable being a provider.”

“It is an end of life, and while I feel the patient should have an option, I didn’t feel comfortable being a provider.”

…this is what baffles me! She’s saying…”it’s murder. People should have the option to murder. I don’t want to murder for them”. This is NO different than saying…”I’m pro choice on aborting my husband, wife, mother…” She just said “it’s an end of life”!! How can someone say that and then say it’s someones option in the same breath?! And then go to sleep at night?!

‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’

abortion denies one of the core rights to an American and should be unconstitutional

People should have the choice to legally murder someone? Great! I can finally start offing people on my hit list without fear of repercussions. /s

my guess is she is having to recover from the brain washing that happens on university campuses. she realizes abortion is murder but she feels that she has to support abortion to be a good feminist. I think you are right she will move to the direction of not supporting abortion she just needs to learn not to care what other people think.

Not a good example for arguing the constitutionality of abortion. That quote doesn’t come from the constitution.

Either way the bible trumps the constitution and abortion is a sin.

sorry if i didnt attribute the quote to its exact source. it was 3:30a and I was typing fast... I didn’t think anyone would need the origin specified

it’s a quote from the declaration of indepence ... the document that led to the founding of the country and the only reason we have a Constitution to follow. if something is counter to the Declaration, then it would also be against the Constitution, in spirit if not by the letter.

Doesn't abortion deny ALL of those rights? The baby has neither life, nor liberty, nor can he/she pursue happiness.

Just sayin'...

Sounds like you are not really pro-abortion. If you are unwilling to do something then you should not support it.
