Useless as a word but excrutiating when used to berate the haughty, as in Shakespearean wit:

Most of the free world uses the hypocorism “Bibi” for Benjamin Netanyahu, but Barack Obama calls him something else.
It is sunny and 52 here-the customer’s patio and gazebo are almost done-we will do finishing touches tomorrow. The customer loves it, but I think it is garish-it makes my teeth itch-but the customer is always right...

That’s too pricey for you and me...
Where I come from, being told you are as pretty as you can be is code for overweight, overdone and tasteless...
