As we wait, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. Roads here AWFUL this am...DONT know why school district did not delay. I haven’t checked...how is east coast fairing from storm overnight? DH was flipping channels and was watching the BlizzardMobile on CNN (I kid not—they had some sort of van thingy out in NYC). Anyways...I dreamed last night about our local Dairy Queen (blizzard? Power of suggestion? My sweet tooth?). I dreamed that I worked there, and they I couldnt get to work to open the store (I had the key).
Sigh...I’ll admit I’m weird. At least there is hockey to watch tonight.

Our roads aren’t bad but our lot isn’t plowed. Yesterday mrs p6 used the 4x4...instead of the AWD...on the Drango. A first for her and she liked it a lot. With AWD the tires still slip but in 4x4 it goes much better.
I’m already in bed. Busy night with the weather.
How on earth did it take them that long to figure out the obvious?

Hope everyone is safe & warm. Poor hubby kept up with the driveway yesterday & his bad shoulder is killing him today. His AC joint is so swollen :( We’ve been treating it, but I think that he needs a trip to an ortho doc.

I noticed the snow was lingering in the Eastern areas overnight. They should have delayed your schools.
Meanwhile, in NYC they freak out over what now looks like a mere 3-6 inches. So much for DeBlasio’s “historic” storm. We have more on the ground here from ours and do we get wall-to-wall hysterical coverage from the Weather Channel? Noooo!
Brother-in-law has a Durnango claims it is always in 4WD cause it says AWD but hes says it slips so he got winter tires..Can’t tell him otherwise..
One of the reasons,we moved to an apartment was to get away from.shoveling snow. It really takes it’s toll.on a body.
BTW today is Up Helly Aa in Lerwick, Shetland. Huge fire festival to welcome the sun back above the horizon.

Depending on the year there are several modes. 2WD, part time 4WD, full time 4WD (AWD), and full time 4WD low for serious off road.

I was just reading about the coast...def a downgrade...perhaps the HEAVIER snow west of the Laurel Mts (our clipper system) drew some of the energy/moisture our way (which is why I’m guessing the 2-3 more we got overnight that NOBODY predicted.
17 year old shoveled our steps and driveway when he got home from school and then again around 7:30ish. There is a good 2-3 incHES out there now (and w/no delay no time to shovel this am...so he’ll have a bigger job at 3pm).
