Geddy Lee’s (of RUSH) mother was a child that survived the camps. The band wrote a song about the camps. “Are we the only human beings to survive?”

One of my dad’s cousins was at one of the camps a few days after it was liberated, with soldiers trying to help the prisoners. He described the skin lamp shades and all.

One of my favorite Rush songs, and also one of my favorite songs of all time. God bless Geddy’s mother, but it is sad that Geddy does not even believe in God.

Skin lampshades? Does that mean what I think it does? Ugh.

The Holocaust was such a weird thing to happen...I mean you wonder how in the world did so many Germans turn into such devils and devil-followers? (I also have German in me so no offense to anyone) but to be perfectly frank, that kind of thing is usually relegated to hordes of “other kind” of peoples.
