Gallons of water saved in big plastic bottles so you can flush the toilets (if you have a well with electric water pump).

If I were stuck in that, I’d be lookin’ for a man with a high body fat content, a sleeping bag and a bottle of Jack Daniels.

See ya in the Spring, LOL!

If it’s snow - no problem. ICE is the real sunnuvabeotch to deal with.

Lived through The Ice Storm of 1976 in Wisconsin. It was brutal. No power for a full week. No phones, and LOTS of downed trees and power lines. Dad fired up the grill and we cleaned out the freezer and ate like Kings, but it was still a little scary. I remember we melted snow so we could flush when we HAD to and as a teen, to go wtihout a PHONE for a week was a living H3LL, LOL!

Obviously it was traumatic as I’ve remembered it for nearly 40 years. ;)

My solution is to wait 20 seconds.

That’s when my Genset kicks in and we’re back to normal.

If you reside in New York City save your money and get a “Media Hype Detector” or a “Gross Exaggeration Detector”.
