SEATTLE (AP) — A 32-foot gray whale that turned up dead under the Washington state ferry terminal in downtown Seattle died earlier this week because it was struck by the propeller of a large vessel, according to the initial results of a necropsy completed Saturday.

The necropsy found large, deep gashes on the whale's right side and back, indicating the cause of death. The gashes extended into the whale's body cavity and the propeller's force had sheared off one of its ribs.

This is obviously an aquatic hate crime and the murdering party must be brought to justice!

Furthermore, gubmint should ban all propeller driven ships.

Bring back oar power and slave ships. Not only will it save our aquatic brethren but it will add millions of jobs to the eonomy. </liberalrant >

You wouldn’t think the whale would be swimming that close to it ... unless ... that whale was attempting “death by propeller”!

How do they if it was alive or dead when the prop struck the whale?

It won’t take long for the ‘blubbering’ animal rights activists to ‘spout’ off about this.

Outrageous! The poor whale may have been attempting suicide.

Free mental health screening for the whales!

Conservatives don’t like to see animals killed anymore than anyone else. But this particular class of grey whale is no longer endangered and some think it’s population has reached a point that, despite deaths caused by ships, it has recovered to a sustainable number.

The environmentalists will determine that. The whales are most likely overpopulated on the west coast.

If Seattle were a conservative city propellers, all shipping, and the ferry service would be shut down immediately. But, since it is liberal, nothing must interfere with the conveniences of Seattle’s liberals.
