Formerly the "Fans of Quinn and Rose Discussion" thread. We still hold out hope that our favorite talk show hosts will come back on the air - and all indications are that they will be, very soon! (SEE UPDATE BELOW) As we wait, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. Thanks! Father-in-Law still in the hospital. We’ve been staying with MIL. She’s 86. Hopefully he will be home today, but still needs some care. I’m anxious to sleep in my own bed though!

Sorry to hear your FIL in hospital...hope nothing too serious (prayers and a hug!).
Last night the Pens LOST to the damn Flyers (who suck right now!) in OT. A lot of fights (from Flyer cheap shots-LeTang got boarded and had to leave the game) and PaDad kept proclaiming “this isn’t hockey it’s WWE “ and CLICK over to SOTU he goes.
It was awful. I did, mercifully, miss big chunks of SOTU but what I did watch was awful. I caught the part about how HES BROUGHT good paying oil and natural gas jobs and how the U.S. is becoming energy independent and how wind is double what it was in 08 (or something).
After the OT LOSS we switched back again to watch him wonder we thru the crowd of autograph seeking weirdos.
Limbaugh (once again) is RIGHT. Our elected representatives look like the Cantina scene in StarWars.
And count me in the “RuthBaderGinsburg Nodded Off” crowd.

FIL had cancer surgery - colon cancer. Sounds like they got it all. Found out it was stage 3. He’s a lucky guy!
If I had watched the SOTU, MIL’s tv would be broken, or she would have been shocked at the language coming out of my mouth! lol! It was safer just to follow along on Free Republic!
No snow here. It always seems to go just south of us and you guys down in Westmoreland Co. get it!

Started snowing pretty good as I got to work in Greentree. Today would have been a nice day to stay in bed.
I didn’t watch SOTU. I can’t stand that jerk’s voice. Pomp n Circumstance is what SOTU has become.
I did hear that the GOP response by Joni Ernst was good.

For the first time in nearly a month I am posting from home. Comcast came...fiddled with some wiring and everything SEEMS OK...for now. We’ll see tomorrow.
Meanwhile SOTU...watched a bit...Had to switch to keep from breaking something.
First full day of Wolf as Governor. Is it just me or are things colder and darker in PA than usual?
