New England Patriots all-star defensive tackle Vince Wilfork scored extra points after the game with Indianapolis Sunday night.
Massachusetts State Police said Wilfork helped them rescue a woman trapped in a car after it rolled over near Gillette Stadium.

it’s a great story and, being from new England, I’ve seen many interviews with wilfork and you couldn’t ask for a nicer person.
but, to nitpick, because I have a problem with celebrity treatment in our culture, if it wasn’t vince wilfork, wouldn’t the police have asked him to back away? since when do they allow civilians to help out, other than an md?

I don’t like the Patriots—specifically, Belicheat and Brady-Bundchen—but I do like Wilfork.
Yeah, a few months ago I helped a guy get out of a rollover because gasoline was leaking out of his truck. A firefighter (local Volunteer) waddles up and says he is going to have me arrested. I was the first one on the scene. The old man wanted my phone # and thanked me, I told him I had to leave. I was livid.
I have helped at a couple of accidents. If you are the only one there, and you take direction well....I aided until the pros have gotten there. One time it was just talking to a scared kid.
