he theatre was absolutely silent and stayed that way. no one moved for a while then the whole theatre silently filed out.

I'm not trying to make a comparison between the two movies, especially since I haven't yet seen SNIPER, but I observed (and felt) the same reaction at the end of the original version of RED DAWN. My daughter and I walked over a mile home without saying a word, we found the movie so emotional. There are some movies that do that to you.

I'm looking forward to seeing SNIPER.

Another movie that caused that dead-silent reaction was 2016: Obama’s America. I saw it in the theater and everyone who left the theater was stunned. De’Souza had connected the dots for us and we couldn’t believe what “we” had done to our country.
