In Texas, the majority of public school children now are Hispanic, many of them illegal aliens or children of illegals. They are poor, have limited or no English skills, and drop out of school at 15 or 16. That is what Texas has to support because of a Supreme Court ruling in the ‘80s that border states had to pay to educate Mexican children (Plyler v. Doe, 1982). The curse of the Burger court Liberals has cost Texas billions and has basically ruined the school system.
What you say is true, but even if our black-robes masters hadn’t mandated k-12 education for illegal alien children, do you really doubt that by now Texas would be doing so voluntarily? With shameless panderers like Bush and “no heart” Perry as governor, and that weasel Strauss as state House leader, they’d have willingly done so, and been holier than thou as they did so.
