My ticket helped those numbers and the movie was well worth the price.

I’ve been reading various media reports about what a terrible year 2014 was for the film industry and how this must be due to home entertainment centers, changing viewing habits and young people’s fascination with their smart phones.
The grosses that “American Sniper” is getting confirm my belief that last year’s low take was due mostly to the fact that the movies all sucked.

Looking forward to seeing it
Clint is a great director, but I think the momentum and focus should be on the American people ...
We SO need a good, patriotic film to keep our attitudes afloat

Fictional mass murder is Good, but an autobiography of a Sniper is heresy
against F.A.G and Hollyweird. I recently watched the Equalizer and it wasn't
just a gore festival, it was an outright Murder carnival.

The grosses that American Sniper is getting confirm my belief that last years low take was due mostly to the fact that the movies all sucked. How can you say that about Big Hero 6!

I recently watched the Equalizer and it wasn't just a gore festival, it was an outright Murder carnival. The one with Denzel? Are you put off by realistic bloodshed? I did NOT find this movie gory. It was high on character development and low on dialogue, which makes for an exceptional action movie: show vs. tell.
I found it stylistically violent without being over the top. Don't watch action/thriller movies expecting no bloodshed.
That said, I'm looking forward to seeing American Sniper. War is not puppies, kittens, and butterflies. Bloodshed is real.

They did an incredible job marketing the film. The trailers really have an emotional impact.

Pulled in around $50 million world wide on Friday. Budget was $59 million. It’s a Clint Eastwood Malpaso Productions picture, so Clint is going to make a lot of money since he owns the production rights.

Who needs the Oscars when you have this kind of success.
I haven’t been to a movie house in years but will make an exception for this. The wife...who does not do action or war flicks...will be in voluntary attendence also.
