I think I read she’s a Republican. Of course, how conservative or liberal a Republican I do not know. I respect how she left acting and the public eye in the 1970s after such a successful career and focused her time, money and energy on other things.

I think “The Glass Bottom Boat” was the best of her films made post-1963.

Doris Day with James Garner in “The Thrill of It All” in 1963 was a real hoot.

Like when he drove his 1958 Chevy Impala into a swimming pool that wasn’t there when he left for work that morning.
