I was an exchange student in Holland in the early ‘80s. The Dutch students we were living with (there were 5 total in the house) would have 7 cases of Heineken delivered each week.

We’ve had beer delivered here since the 80’s, although it’s a college town. Now even carry-outs deliver, the only places that won’t don’t have it on the menu. one snooty eatery even delivers bottles of wine!
