Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman appear in a new government video flacking for Affordable Care Act-brokered medical insurance plans
But the NFL provides one of the best health insurance plans in America with tiny deductibles and millions in payouts
Some Obamacare plans have family deductibles as high as $12,700, causing some policyholders to avoid treatment and stay sick
Sherman has a four-year $56 million contract, while Wilson earns a paltry $2.4 million but is expected to sign a $100 million deal in the off-season
Two Seattle Seahawks mega-stars are flacking for Obamacare, but they won't need government-brokered medical insurance themselves the NFL already provides one of America's best plans to its millionaire players, free of charge.
Quarterback Russell Simmons and cornerback Richard Sherman appear in a Department of Health and Human Services video released online on Friday, urging Americans to visit HealthCare.gov and shop for coverage before the February 15 open-enrollment deadline.

***Facepalm***
I'm a big Seahawks fan too.
I guess you make as much money as you can and even prostitute yourself.
It’s a law, you have to. Are they going to next encourage people to pay their taxes?
You don’t have to have insurance if you pay the fine or tax or penalty whatever they are calling it these days.
FUBO
FUSS
When tens of millions of americans do their taxes, they are in for a shock.
Feeds right into my tag line.
And if the cost of insurance is more than 8% of your income, you don’t have to buy it.
How long is the wait for a peasant to get a torn ACL repaired under Obamacare?
The last time I checked you did not have to be a genius, let alone a typical Free Republic Overall Genius (FROG), to make it big in the NFL.
In other words, just because you can throw 60 yard touchdown passes and earn $10,000,000 a year is not going to make you an expert on health care. OTOH, women seem attracted to both of these features and will generally be glad to overlook your lack of understanding of health care issues.
So, you are OK for the NFL. But don’t run for office when you retire.
The government “enlisted” the NFL to help promote it, and the NFL declared PSAs for it as fulfilling the charitable requirements each player has to do during the course of the season. It’s just like the Get Moving commercials and the United Way commercials, part of the job.
Another reason to hate the Seahawks.
Got the notice yesterday that my doctor will no longer be covered by my plan effective June 30th. And my plan went up by $52 a month this month.
Why are these athletes out there telling people to sign up for this crap obamacare? Surely they know that people, their fans, are not at all happy about this and are being adversely affected by it. can we assume they’re being strong armed by the obama administration? /rhetorical
Does ANY NFL team get the FR seal of approval these days? I mean with 20+ coaches and 50+ players, there’s bound to be some number of Baraqqi partisans in there.
Our nation is very sick.
So, only poor people without health care can do promotion spots for Healthcare.gov? What do their own health care arrangements have to do with it?
They also do commercials for car dealerships in the area, but can afford to drive much pricier models than they advertise. Should they not be allowed to advertise cars?
Perspective, people.
This is a F ing shame (and I’m from Seattle).
Who will heal it?
Who is Russell Simmons?
Top 10 Obama "bundler"
estimated net worth $300m
Quarterback Russell Simmons and cornerback Richard Sherman...
