You know, I don’t agree with the extent of our defence cuts, but I think the US owes us some credit by us going to war in Afghanistan following the 9-11 attacks, as well as the Iraq war, which we had no obligation to get involved in at all and has cost us dearly in terms of blood and treasure.
You think Britain participated just because it was a favor to Americans and served no larger purpose? That it is merely some kind of act of revenge for 9/11?
