I put the splashers in late last January. I cleaned, greased and oiled when I took them out so they're ready to go if I need them.

I have mine on one of those temp/timer combo sensors. I just put it in before the first big freeze and forget about it till a warm day in March and I take it out.

Last year I couldn’t get there to put it in and I ended up with a lot of damage.
