This Thurs is Elvis’s birthday. He would have been 80.

I think Joe made it to the age of 93. We are seeing more people living past the age of ninety and still having some level of basic functions. It’s not just in the mountains of Japan anymore.

Well done good and faithful servant!

He had a tall task - he had world-class musicians and vocalists of course but he organized them into a fantastic, memorable backing band that were able to support Elvis’ varied, almost random, choice of material, including the many occasions when Elvis added a number at the last minute or simply chose to sing it live without warning.
