Right now, if the NYPD were to follow your advice, there would be no NYPD, because there aren’t enough officers that could be hired to risk taking bullets over parking or jaywalking tickets.

The only laws that should exist are those one is willing to kill over, because the hand of government is force. This way, police don’t have to risk their lives over stupid laws and the people will be much happier.

That being said, policemen aren’t conscripts, they get paid to do an inherently dangerous job.

When from the top leadership on down, this includes our beloved President, laws and ethics are traded in for politics and financial gains this usually portends the beginning of the end of what was once a Great Society. How do you expect the average and plain citizen to respect the law when he looks up to his or her leaders occupying a variety of positions and finds that they are about as deceitful and crooked as they come and twist the laws each and every which way they can in order to suit their purpose. Western societies don’t die from wars but gradually succumb to self inflicted suicide such as removing the guard rails of ethics, laws and common sense which has kept our society on an even keel. If things keep on going the way they are the future is questionable at best and more mayhem will be in the making.
