Liberals love to forget that it was them who sued to end involuntary commitments of crazy people. So, the state institutions were emptied out, and they lost their funding since they were empty, and the streets filled up with crazy people. Of course, if we went back to involuntary commitment, we would see crazy people still returned to the street, but those counter-revolutionary bitter clingers would be locked up forever.
