Would newspapers please quit repeating the nonsense that Mr. Garner was killed by a choke hold?!?!

The man died of cardiac arrest, in the ambulance, on the way to the hospital (not Col. Mustard with a choke hold).

He passed away more than 10 minutes after he was taken down. The total amount of time anyone was on his neck was 17 seconds. At 14 seconds, he said “I can’t breathe.” 3 seconds later, not a single thing was touching his airway. EMS was called as soon as he said “I can’t breathe.”

Nope. There are two videos. The first (~3:35 min)shows the confrontation. The second (~7 min) shows him laying on the ground, with nobody holding him, and the occasional “I can’t breathe.” EMS arrived within 3 minutes of being called. EMS spoke with him, and within another 4 minutes, he was on a stretcher and being taking to the ambulance.

The fact that the media keeps saying "choke hold" is really fraying my last nerve. I saw that video at least 5 times and I can assure anyone that was NOT a true choke hold. The cop merely grabbed Garner by the side of neck, while he and officers took him down. Unless I missed something, the cop used one arm - that is not a choke hold.

I know what a choke hold is because I was taught it in a self-defense class. It didn't surprise me that the cop was indicted.

I know that Garner died of a heart attack, not from being choked

After viewing the arrest video I had a lot of sympathy for this man and his family but all my goodwill has been lost after seeing the reaction from the race pimps.

The bottom line was that he was a heart attack waiting to happen. Now thanks to the "racist" legal system his family (probably already on the dole) will get millions of tax payer dollars to reward his risky behavior.
