Background...the Ringling family, of circus fame, built this theater in Baraboo, Wisconsin during their heyday in the early '20's. I grew up going to movies at this place, it is truly a gem. It's reconstruction is a testament to the private sector...and what a place!

Love the old theaters. Mike Illitch spent a bundle on the FOX theater in Detroit.

Almost all the buildings from that era were spectacular.

Its really nice to see private citizens who step up to save these buildings. Sometimes its not who you would expect to have an interest in a world where so few do.

The Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit.

A lot of great architecture came about in the Roaring ‘20’s.

I was afraid after posting that that you would think me daffy, but turns out you are acquainted with the glittering Dells/Baraboo nightlife of a few decades ago. Sounds like you were really good in your heyday. How about Otto’s Steakhouse on County O?

Nigs is still there. Otto’s was sold last year, reopened and then reclosed early this year.
