The Federal Communications Commission dismissed a petition Thursday to deny renewal of WWXX-FM’s broadcast license because it’s the flagship radio station of the NFL’s Washington Redskins, whose name has come under fire by some who see it as a derogatory term for Native Americans.

I guess we have to change the species of potato from Redskin Potato to Native American Potato... since Redskin is offensive.

A Native American called me “pale face” the other day for being a little on the Irish side. Someone even called me a “redneck” for eating my cereal out of a cool whip bowl. And I’ve been called “cracker” too for being a middle class white male. Oh the horror! Was I offended? H*ll no. Why? Because I won’t let it bother me. My ego is strong enough to accept being called a “pale faced redneck cracker”. And you can add an “MF” to that. I say “Screw’em”.
Mama taught us: “Sticks and stones may break our bones, but words will never hurt us”. These victims of political correctness need to move on and get a real life. The use of such terms of endearment has been a part of life since day one and they’re going to have to endue it.
Listen up, if you’ve been called a “redneck” numerous times in your life you just might be one. No amount of government PC can change the spots on a leopard, the color of your skin, or protect your tender ego. Only you can do that. And it’s much harder to accept if you live in a liberal fantasy PC world. Capiche?

Too many, especially of the Lib variety, it seems, spend their time trying to find things to be offended by. It gives them a sense of purpose to find something to oppose and rail against. And that gives them a sense of power, which encourages them to seek out other things to be offended by.
If they get media attention, icing on the cake.
I guess it is a good thing that only mature people watch TCM movies. Those WW II movies made during the war that portray the Japanese as squinty eyed, death mongering bridge trolls just would make heads roll today.
Just too much government in our lives telling us how to live our lives...liberals love big government and the pursuit of THEIR happiness. Screw’em, vote less government.
