Maker’s 46 is a nice, easy drink. It’s kind of like kissing your date on the front porch.
If, however, you can get your hands on a bottle of Noah’s Mill that’ll be the stuff that fogs your windows.

I’ve had it, including a nip at the Makers Distillery.
In the event you don’t know they story, Makers 46 is made from the exact same recipe as regular Makers. The difference in Makers 46 is the insertion of barrel stays from a port wine barrel into the Makers barrel during aging. It changes the color a touch and mellows the flavor as you noted as compared to regular Makers.

Went fishing a couple months ago...56 hr trip. Brought a bottle of Pendleton Let'er Buck Canadian Whiskey...Never opened it....
But the review is nice..
