Gun Rights Tips the Scale over Gun Control

Support for gun rights has edged up from earlier this year, and marks a substantial shift in attitudes since shortly after the Newtown school shootings, which occurred two years ago this Sunday.
The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center, conducted Dec. 3-7 among 1,507 adults, also finds a shift in attitudes about whether gun ownership in this country does more to protect people or put people’s safety at risk. Nearly sixin-ten Americans (57%) say gun ownership does more to protect people from becoming victims of crime, while 38% say it does more to endanger personal safety. In the days after Newtown, 48% said guns do more to protect people and 37% said they placed people at risk.

People are looking at the extreme violence of the feral urban predator class and noting that authorities are doing really nothing about it. They have figured out that need to protect themselves because nobody else is going to. It’s no coincidence that gun sales have surged in response to the ramapant violence and rioting in the wake of events in Ferguson. Get rural. Get self sufficient. Get armed. They all have either the money or the influence to make another school shooting happen if that will forward the agenda. Fortunately, none of them are quite that evil. Are they?

Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, and Bloomberg would all put their grandmothers on a bus and have it driven off a cliff if it would further their agendas. In Bloomberg’s case he’d be sure to find a way to turn a buck off the deal, too.

Its hard to say really. I’ve known flaming liberals who were armed to the teeth. It was their position guns should be outlawed. It was also their view when guns were banned they’d still be armed. Figure that one out. I could never get a coherent answer from them. In the end I think they felt entitled b/c they were somehow better than other people. So, for those individuals they’d likely survive at least for a while. It wouldn’t surprise me either if they stole/murdered their way to the top. After all genocide is in their ‘blood’.
