I started watching the show on Netflix and got hooked in Season one. Then Hydra took over and I’m done. The problem is that Hydra is a wild card that can be played at any time. Any character, no matter how “committed” to Shield, can be turned into a Hydra operative by the writers, when the script needs it.

That makes it too unbelievable for me. I’m done. Sad. I was getting into the characters. I saw it as Firefly meets Red meets The Expendables. These are all movies both my wife and I really like.

The first season was good, I’ll not bother with the “hydra” nonsense.

Thanks for letting us know you’re not going to continue watching a show that’s not playing anymore

You really should continue!

Hydra is a common theme throughout the Marvel universe. It is NOT something thought up for this series.

If you stop watching, you won’t see how Coulson eventually takes down Hydra and that fits right in with the beginning of Avengers - Age of Ultron. It’s Coulson who tells Maria Hill where Baron Von Strucker’s castle is that the Avengers attack and then retrieve Loki’s scepter and release the Maximov twins (Scarlet Witch and her brother Quicksilver).

And the Framework, Life Model Decoys (LMDs), Inhumans, Ghost Rider—all are deep dives into Marvel subjects that fill out so much of the overall Marvel universe.
