You must have forgotten to read the article to the end. It was a hoax. The guy bought rabbit meat at a store to cook and eat. The pet rabbit is alive. And the girlfriend who owns the rabbit says that's true.

However, Diatchenko over the phone told Lazar, “This is all a misunderstanding. We got into an argument but I didn’t kill the bunny. This was a hoax.”

Lazar says she spoke with a woman over the phone who claims she is the owner of the bunny. The woman also told Lazar the incident was a hoax and stands by Diatchenko’s version of events.

You needn't be so harsh on your fellow FReepers just because you didn't read the article.
