I was trying to figure out what is meant by "human rights" as today is human rights day. I came across this portion of the UN Charter. So, according to the UN Charter, the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society. I have to admit, I was a bit surprised that this language was part of a supposedly liberal organization.

Is just our country out of whack with the rest of the world regarding this?

“Men” and “women”.

No particular counts or combinations are constrained.

I think we could form a really big FReeper Family by all simultaneously marrying each other. That would be legal, according to their definition.

Not only that but shouldn’t 57 certain countries be in constant violation of this......

What I noticed about the wording in the charter is that it is, at least to me, utopia driven. It seems to assume that mankind is basically good. Those 57 countries do not align with a whole bunch of the charter.
