I thought the Aston reappeared with Brosnan in Die another day, well before Skyfall. Granted it was the Vanquish, but the article makes it seem that Aston Martin didn’t return until later.

They should offer accessories up to the billionaire scale. The most important thing is that it is unique enough so that very rich people just have to have it.

It was the DB5 that “reappeared”.

Well at least Ford doesn’t own Aston Martin anymore. I got sick of seeing the trademark A/M trapezoidal grille on everything from glorified grocery getters to delivery vans. Talk about diluting your brand recognition.

And a DB5 was in Casino Royale, before Skyfall.

I’m really into cars, and while I’d love a Ferrari, or Lambo, or Bentley, or Viper, or Corvette, or ...

if I had to pick just one, an Aston Martin would probably be tops on the list. Just something about the way they package luxury and performance together that does it for me over any other marque.

One of my parents best friends owned some big electronics companies in the 40s and in the 50s and 60s he made money on television and electronic sales and distribution like rain from heaven.

Right after Goldfinger, or I guess a year or two later, he came home with an imported DB5 just like the one in the movie. I was pocket change. He was probably worth 20 million in the early 60s when that was a lot of money.

The used to move about every three years just to redecorate. Sounds shallow, I know, but they were the nicest people. His wife was my mother’s life long best friend and one of the most beautiful women on the planet. She died at 94 just a few years ago.
