I really felt like RG3 was over hyped during his Rookie season and Andrew Luck was all but dismissed by football fans.

No. The problem is the NFL. It's too entrenched. Vince Young, RGIII, Tebow, et el are great players who would lead teams to victory but the NFL play style is stuck in the 50’s.
